Combatting loneliness in young people with data-informed content designed to speak to users in their own language.

Key achievements

  • Nominated for an internal People Award for the inclusive design of a hidden website section with resources to people waiting to be matched with a guide dog, empowering them with tools to build independence while they wait.

  • Led a team to create a bold visual style for news young people can relate to, taking the channel to #1 in the UK—and presented our strategy directly to Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel.

  • Developed Metro’s Twitter Moments strategy, creating a viral post on the ban of afro hair swimming caps in global competitions. With 25 million impressions, it sparked international outrage and led to a reversal of the decision by the official regulatory body.
